Forestry mulching is a one-step way to reclaim overgrown land. A single tracked machine with a mulching head grinds trees and brush into mulch right where they stand. Nothing gets bulldozed, burned, or trucked off your property.
The mulch stays on the land and goes to work for it: it returns nutrients to the soil, holds moisture, and keeps erosion from starting, so the ground you clear stays clear without repair bills later.

Roots stay in the ground and mulch covers it, so cleared land doesn't turn into a gully. That prevents the ongoing erosion repair a bulldozed lot needs.

Treeline is family-owned and operated by Ricardo Vazquez. Every call and every quote request comes straight to him, and he walks the land with you himself. The machines are run by a small crew he hired and trained, so you won't deal with a call center or a company that hands your job to a subcontractor.
Based in Montevallo and clearing land across Shelby, Chilton, and Jefferson counties since 2018, Ricardo runs every job the same way: walk it with the owner, quote it straight, and leave it better than promised. How much does forestry mulching cost?
Every property is different. Acreage, how thick the growth is, and how easy it is to get a machine in all matter. That's why the estimate is free: Ricardo walks the land with you and gives you a straight price before any work starts. Call or text (205) 902-6115.
Is there a minimum job size?
Yes. The smallest job we take is about a half acre, which works out to roughly a full day, eight hours, on the machine. Below that, the cost of loading up and hauling the equipment out doesn't make sense for you or for us. If your project is smaller, call anyway and we'll tell you straight.
Can you cut trails on my property?
Yes, and it's a good part of what we do. ATV trails, walking trails, horse trails, and park trails all get cut and mulched in place, so the path is firm underfoot from the first day instead of washing out after the first hard rain.
Can you flatten a spot for a mobile home or a new build?
Yes. Clearing and leveling a home site is regular work for us, whether it's a pad for a mobile home or ground being prepared for new construction. We take out the growth, level the spot, and leave it ready for the next trade.
Is mulching better than bulldozing?
For most overgrown land, yes. A dozer scrapes away topsoil and leaves bare dirt that washes out; mulching leaves roots in the ground and covers it with mulch, so there's no erosion, no burn piles, and no haul-off trucks. The land is walkable the day we finish.
What can the machine handle?
Briars, privet, kudzu, brush and trees up to about 8 inches in diameter get mulched right where they stand. Anything bigger, plus leveling and dead stumps, can be handled as part of a land-clearing plan. Tell us what's out there and we'll tell you the best approach.
Do I lose the trees I want to keep?
No, and that's the point. Mulching is selective. We work around the trees you love and take out only the tangle you don't, leaving open, park-like ground between them.
Do you do landscaping?
No. Treeline clears, mulches, and levels land. We don't plant, sod, mow, or build beds and hardscape. Once the ground is open and graded, a landscaper can take it from there.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Treeline Forestry Mulching is a licensed, fully insured Alabama LLC. You're covered from the minute the machine comes off the trailer.

We're based in Montevallo and cover three counties. In Shelby: Montevallo, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Calera, Chelsea, and Columbiana. In Chilton: Clanton, Jemison, Thorsby, and Maplesville.
